3in Drill Buffing / Polishing / Sanding Attachment

This is at the top of my list of recommendations if you're just getting started into detailing.  Most people already have a drill, so this is an inexpensive way get a powered polisher.  A kit like this one give you multiple pads, and the attachment disk.  While it's not included you can even get 3in sanding disks for it.  Even with having a 6in DA, I still frequently use this 3in on my Drill.

Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound

This stuff is Awesome!  Yet another one that I've been using for years.  It usually makes short work of Oxidization of both Paint, and Plastic.  Just be careful though because it's a more aggressive compound.

Meguiar's Ultra-Finishing Polish

Obviously this follows the Ultra-Cut Compound.  Yet another terrific product from Meguiar's.  I always love this step in the process because it does such a great job eliminating the fine swirls and really makes everything shine.

Plastic Razor Blade

A normal Razor Blade is a great tool for detailing. . . if used correctly.  However it makes a lot of people nervous, and sometimes it's just too risky.  In both situations these Plastic Razor blades are perfect.  Scraping power of a razor blade while being soft enough to not gouge or scratch most surfaces.  I use this one a lot too!

Drill Brush Attachments

Another invaluable cleaning tool for your Drill.  I've got these from Soft to Stiff and they are excellent.  Of course none of them are suitable for use on paint, but they're great for cleaning almost anything else.  I frequently use them for cleaning Carpets, Floor Mats, and Seats!

Mother's VLR

Moving on to the Interior.  This is hands down my favorite product to use.  On all the Vinyl, Leather, Rubber, and Plastics.  It does a good job cleaning and conditioning.  Leaves a Satin finish and has a truly new car smell to me.  That reminds me. . . I need to get some more.

The Best Air Freshener for your Car

Speaking of New Car Scent. . .This is another incredible product.  I've found nothing that removes odors better.  If you bought a smoker's car TRY THIS!!

WARNING: DO NOT SPRAY IT WHILE YOU'RE IN THE CAR!  - It's Strong.

Spray some inside the car, close the door immediately, and then wait a while.

Shop Vac = Carpet Extractor

This one is another neat little attachment.  If you've already got a Shop-Vac and don't want to shell out for a Carpet Extractor this a great option.  My extractor stopped working, so in lieu of a new one I got one of these.  I use a hand pump sprayer to put down the water/cleaner and this pulls it back out with all the dirt.

Chemical Guys Hex Pads

This is another one of those things where I've never really sprung for high quality pads.  Recently got the Polishing Pad from Chemical Guys and not only is it the best pad I've ever had.  It's my new favorite.  I guess I need to buy the rest of them now. . . .
